SHVDZ, pronounced "shades" are a UK based DJ & Production Duo comprised of Reece Ginestri and John Connor. SHVDZ's journey through music together began at 16 years old when the pair were attending the same music production course whilst still in high-school where on the very first day they quickly discovered their mutual love for electronic music. 2 weeks after their initial meeting, Reece's family moved house and as fate would have it, their new home just happened to be on the same street as John. From this point onwards, the pair began to work on music together and in 2020, SHVDZ was born. After their introduction to the EDM world in 2020 with releases on Lowded Recordings, Soave Records & Diverge Recordings, SHVDZ have been refining their signature sound. The SHVDZ sound takes inspiration from many different styles, with their latest tracks fusing elements from Techno, Trance and Progressive. In late 2023, SHVDZ debuted their new style with their remix of the Portuguese hit ‘Sentir Saudade’ alongside EDM heavyweight KURA on Tiësto's AFTR:HRS imprint. This was quickly followed up with their first ever Techno EP: ‘Eternity’ on Reload Records. SHVDZ’s biggest release to date ‘Do My Thing’ dropped in early 2024 on EXTATIC Records. Maddix is a big inspiration for SHVDZ having their first official release of 2024 on his label was a great achievement. The song has had massive DJ support from the likes of Hardwell and is due to hit 1 million Spotify streams any day now and it is still performing well in the beatport peak time/driving techno charts. SHVDZ also regularly release remixes and edits on SoundCloud, using this as a way to experiment with their sound. Many of these tracks have performed well, leading them to be placed in multiple SoundCloud charts and gaining them over 8.6k followers on the platform.
